Tomáš Pavelka: From childhood with guns to top sport shooting
Tomáš Pavelka has been shooting sports since 2008 and has since become a top shooter in IPSC, IDPA and 3 Gun disciplines. Today he shoots for the KMR Arms team and continues to achieve his shooting goals with the support of STV Technology.
Tomáš Pavelka will celebrate his 48th birthday this year. His passion for weapons has accompanied him since childhood and has significantly influenced his career path. In 2008, he began shooting, first defensively, when he completed a number of courses at training companies such as AEGIS and RDA. It didn't stop there - Tomáš further expanded his skills in private training with various instructors and sports shooters.
He started shooting sports in 2016, when he participated in four to six competitions a year. However, due to his workload, he could not do more. Nevertheless, he competed in various disciplines, from IPSC to 3 Gun, which he also participated in abroad, for example in Poland.
In 2021, a fundamental change came for Tomáš - a new job position allowed him to fully devote himself to shooting sports, primarily in the IPSC Production Optics and IDPA Carry Optics divisions, and also occasionally in 3 Gun competitions held in the Czech Republic. Since then, he has been constantly taking his shooting skills to the next level.
Since 2018, Tomáš Pavelka has been working as a shooting and tactical instructor at HARD TASK, where he specializes in pistols and rifles, with shotguns as a marginal discipline. In 2022, he became a member of the KMR Arms team. He uses the KMR L02 Spectra pistol and STV Scorpio ammunition for competitions. He uses the Glock 5th generation and STV ammunition for training civilians and armed forces.
For Tomáš, shooting is not just a job, but a passion in life. His goal is not only to achieve good results in competitions, but also to represent his sponsors, especially STV Technology, who allow him to fulfill his shooting dreams.
Tomáš focuses mainly on IPSC and IDPA competitions, but he likes to participate in all disciplines when time allows. For him, every competition, every round fired means another step forward on his path to shooting perfection.
