Marek Neumann – top sports shooter and member of the national team
Marek Neumann has been involved in target shooting since 2015. He began his career with target shooting, which gave him a solid foundation in safe gun handling. However, he soon found his passion in the dynamic IPSC shooting sport, specifically the Open division, which he fondly refers to as the “Formula 1” of the sport due to the minimal restrictions on equipment and gun modifications.
At first, shooting was primarily a hobby and a way for Marek to relax from school duties. However, thanks to hard work and determination, he quickly improved, which opened the door to his first sponsors and the opportunity to participate in more competitions and training sessions. The results were not long in coming - from successes on the domestic stage, he moved to the international team.
The turning point in his career was the 2019 European Championship, where he won the junior category under 21. This triumph not only made him known to the shooting community, but also influenced his professional direction. He began working with KMR Precision Arms, a leading manufacturer of sporting short weapons, where after graduating from college he got a job in the research and development department.
With the support of sponsors and partners, Marek became a fixture on the international shooting scene. He regularly ranks among the best shooters at the Czech Championship, has dominated the Czech Super League several times and has won the Polish and Hungarian Championships. In 2022, he was part of the Czech team at the World Championship in Thailand, where they together won an excellent 4th place. A year later, the Czech team achieved a historic victory at the European Championship in Greece, where Marek took 4th place in the individual and won the exhibition Shoot-Off.
In 2024, he became part of the STV Technology factory team, which allowed him to take his performance to an even higher level and proudly represent Czech brands in the world. Thanks to the connection with KMR and STV, he has top-notch weapons and premium Scorpio ammunition at his disposal, which creates ideal conditions for further success.
The main goal for 2024 and 2025 is preparation for the World Championship, which will take place in South Africa. Marek has secured a spot on the national Open division team and will focus on the highest international participation events where he can compete against the absolute world's best. A big test before the championship will be the US IPSC Nationals in Ohio, where the Czech team will compete against the defending champions and elite shooters, including world champion Christian Sailer.
Marek Neumann is proof that with passion, determination and the support of the right partners, world-class success can be achieved. And his journey is certainly not over.
