Alexandra is our exceptional sports shooter who stands out with incredible discipline and determination.
#AJKA Ridošková is an eighteen-year-old talented shooter who is actively involved in dynamic sport shooting I.P.S.C. Her journey to shooting began at the age of 15, when she was fascinated by target shooting at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Soon after, she tried out various weapons for the first time at the local shooting range in Beluša, but the large-caliber 9mm pistol and 9mm carbine appealed to her the most. Since then, her passion for shooting has flared up to the fullest, and with regular training, she quickly began to achieve success.
Thanks to her twelve years of experience in figure skating, which brought her strong discipline and endurance, she felt that target shooting was not physically demanding for her. She was looking for a greater challenge, which she found in dynamic shooting I.P.S.C. This sport is the ideal combination of precise weapon handling, fast movement, and maximum accuracy for her. After just a few months of training, she participated in her first major competition and soon began to dream of the podium - she knew that hard work would definitely lead her to her goal.
In 2022, Alexandra got the opportunity to represent Slovakia at the World Championships in Thailand, where she finished in 15th place in the women's category, even though she was still a junior. The year 2023 brought her huge success - at the age of 16, Alexandra became the Slovak champion in the standard division (9mm pistol) in the women's category. During the season, she placed on the podiums of national and international competitions and even won five presidential medals. At the European Championships in 2023, she achieved an excellent 5th place, surpassing all expectations.
The following season, she defended her title of Slovak Champion 2024 in the standard division (standard lady) and also took 3rd place in the overall category. A month later, she won another title of Slovak Champion 2024 in the PCO division (9mm carbine), again in the women's category. She has competed in many competitions both in Slovakia and abroad, including four qualification events for the 2025 World Championship in rifle and four qualifications for the World Championship in pistol. By meeting the criteria for both divisions, she was awarded nomination decrees for both championships. She now has several dozen medals and awards in her collection.
Alexandra is currently intensively preparing for the World Championship, where she is going to give her best performance and proudly represent Slovakia, her sponsors and all those who support her.
Thanks to hard work and intensive training, her performances did not go unnoticed in the overall ranking among men and women. She has stood on the podium among the best shooters in the division several times.
