Installing ERA on Main Battle Tanks
STV GROUP is currently refurbishing and modernizing several dozens of T-55 main battle tanks. On these vehicles, for our foreign customer, we also install the ERA armor (Explosive Reactive Armor).
ERA is composed of explosive or non-explosive slabs put into a metal box providing an effective solution for various threats especially against high-explosive anti-tank warheads as modern asymmetrical warfare makes standard armor insufficient aginst such.
